Bringing the World Into Culture: Comparative Methodologies in Architecture, Art, Design and Science is a collection of essays which examine the current state of architecture, the changing role of architects, and the implications and possibilities of collaboration. The texts emphasize design process and transdiciplinary thinking. The book is divided into four sections: culture, theory, methodology, practice and education.
The book was published to honor the lifework of Belgian architect and educator Richard Foqué. The design uses the page margins to bring context to each essay and contributor. This information doubles as a running account of Foqué’s research interests, colleagues and travels throughout his career.
